Destiny 2: Beyond Light picks up on Europa following the Darkness’s arrival and several planets disappearing. You and your Ghost travel to the mysterious Jupiter moon in search of answers. You arrive at an awkward time, however, with Eramis, a Fallen Kell, having found a way to wield the power of Darkness. With her mind focused on revenge against the Traveler, you must team up with Variks and the Exo-Stranger to embrace your inner-Darkness and take her down. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep was the ultimate tease, dangling the Darkness in front of players and ending right as things got interesting. Destiny 2: Beyond Light seemed like it would finally provide the revelations players have been waiting for since Destiny 2’s post-credits scene. That’s not the case, however, with Beyond Light serving as yet another side-story dangling revelations in player’s faces.
For players tackling the mission solo, the boss fight is more than doable. After jumping down to fight the boss when the burn damage has been deactivated, stand on one end of the room and deal damage. The boss will close the distance. Sojourner’s Tale is the final Energy Override Weapon, and it is a Precision Frame Solar Shotgun. Precision Frame Shotguns fire a single-slug round (upon the first shot), and the weapon’s recoil pattern is predictably vertical. Sojourner’s Tale can be acquired from the Splicer Servitor rank, Splicer Armory, and Splicer’s Kell Armory engrams. Ignition Code is a Kinetic Grenade Launcher, a legendary weapon type not often seen in Destiny 2. Being a Lightweight Frame Grenade Launcher means that it has a remote detonation option. Hold the trigger down upon firing Ignition Code, and release it to manually trigger the explosion. Ignition Code can be used to complete the Season of the Splicer Week 5 challenge “Grenade Launcher Splicer,” and it is randomly acquired from the Splicer Servitor rank engram, as well as the Splicer Armory and Splicer’s Captain Armory engrams.
