Regardless of whether Fable is a reboot or a sequel , its success will likely require the game to strike a balance between the new and the old. It has been over a decade, and an entire console generation, since Fable 3 was released so fans will be eager to see a Fable game that brings back the aspects of the series that they know and love. Of course, there was a new Fable game in the works years ago known as Fable Legends , but many fans were not happy with it as it was too different from the rest of the series. While fans were waiting for another fantasy RPG, Fable Legends was a PvPvE asymmetrical dungeon crawler. Fable will have to make sure that it stays true enough to its roots; otherwise, Fable fans will likely be similarly disappointing for fans of the ser
Gift-giving is a concept central to Fable. Much of the player’s experience relies on relationships and how they tie into their morality level. Sure, you can burp in front of a potential romantic partner, but you can also give them a g
Another game that’s had its fair share of development issues, Skull and Bones generated plenty of excitement for its potential appearance at Ubisoft’s E3 2021 showcase, but just last month the publisher announced another delay for the project. Because of the timing of the announcement, it seems like Ubisoft wanted to get ahead of the rumors surrounding Skull and Bones ‘ appearance at E3 and temper expectations. The publisher has plenty of other games to talk about for its show, but it’s a shame that it seems its highly anticipated pirate adventure won’t be one of them. Skull and Bones has been pushed back to 2022 or 2023, so there’s still much to be seen before the game finally relea
Also formerly known as Project Athia , Forspoken is a new IP being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 5 by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. While Square Enix has a show, it has already been pretty clear about what exactly it’ll be showcasing. While there’s definitely room for surprises, because of Forspoken ‘s existence as a PS5 exclusive , it doesn’t seem like the title will be making an appearance. Sony has been notably absent from E3 for a few years now, but the company often times does its own events during the summer. It’s much more likely that Forspoken will make its next appearance during a PlayStation event than at E3 2
It is disappointing for fans that Fable did not make an appearance at this year’s E3 , but hopefully, fans will receive some official news soon. There are a lot of questions surrounding the mysterious new revival of the series and it is under tremendous pressure to bring Fable back in a big way for modern audiences. The team at Playground Games is immensely talented, however, and definitely has the ability to deliver something great for fans and new players al
It’s possible to play through the entirety of Fable 3 with a friend. In fact, it’s a co-op experience that rivals some of the best ever . And players will need a partner (or a second controller) to open this Demon D
As much as Nintendo fans might hope and pray, Metroid Prime 4 will most likely be absent from its 40-minute presentation on Tuesday. Metroid Prime 4 has had development issues that caused the entire project to be rebooted in 2020, so it’s unlikely that the game will be ready to be shown off in its current state. Additionally, Nintendo clarified that its showcase will revolve primarily around games releasing later in 2021, so, despite many studios announcing things releasing over the next few years, Nintendo is focused on the rest of this year. If development is ahead of schedule, Metroid Prime 4 could potentially be showcased at a future Nintendo Direct towards the end of the year, but it probably won’t surface at E3 2
Upon completing a certain quest, Team Snakemouth will gain access to the Underground Tavern. This important location allows them to exchange their Crystal Berries for Medals, along with completing bounties for rewa
Of course, Fable should also bring back the high level of customizability that the series is known for. In previous titles, players have been able to fully customize their heroes in a variety of ways including their clothing, hair, gender, tattoos, and even their height and weight. Fable will have to keep the same level of personalization or even increase it otherwise it just won’t feel like it is part of the series at all. With Fable using the powerful ForzaTech engine , it will be interesting to see how much the customization translates or if there will be even more options for players to take choose f
One element of the series’ legacy that Fable will have to bring back is its world. Fable may be going open world , but it will have to make sure to keep the character of the world that Fable fans expect. The world of Albion has a very unique flavor to it, with a lot of British humor and wacky characters for players to run into. Few other RPGs feature quests that see players hunting down sentient garden gnomes and Fable will have to keep that tone and character or it will completely stop feeling like Fable. Fable will also have to bring back the series’ interactivity. Buying properties, gaming Backlog building relationships, and the player having a large impact on Albion will be very important for Fable fans to connect with the newest g
