Mirage has quickly ascended to be the poster child of the game in many ways, thanks in large part to his over the top personality. It should come as no surprise that he received a brand new skin in Season 5 that’s pretty stel
Bloodhound is the second of the 3 immediate battle pass reward skins for Season 5. Their skin falls in the middle as it is much more cohesive than Wraith’s but not as stellar as the one Revenant received. Bloodhound’s is mostly gold but has plenty of red and blue accents in and around their torso area. It would have been neat if Respawn recolored their raven partner, but regardless the Gilded Claw skin is still quite impressive. They have enough gold on them to make a sizeable offering to O
In the past few weeks, I’ve twice watched someone back out of a game because I chose the character they wanted to play. Both times, it was because my game defaulted to the character because I didn’t make a selection. In one instance, I even apologized after noticing the other player had wanted to be the character I had chosen, but the player backed out anyway. It’s important to note that in Apex Legends , selection order is randomized. In both cases, my name popped up first on the selection menu, meaning I had every right to choose whichever character I wanted to play. Regardless, backing out for something so mundane is problematic because my team is forced to play the game as a squad of two up against squads of three, which makes the game much more diffic
Drop locations will have a small variation depending on where the dropship is entering the area. For example, the ship might be coming by way of the Artillery and then the next game it can start from the Hydro Dam. The important item to note here is that no matter where the ship enters the area, it’s important to make decisions quickly as players have probably already dropped and are looting while decisions are being made. Time is of the essence here so let’s show some of the best locations and explain why they are the b
A video recently emerged on Reddit showing exactly how toxic random players can be. A player downs two enemies only to get knocked before a teammate kills the third. The teammates then refuse to revive the downed player. To see it and know there are few consequences for these actions is frustrating, to say the le
Another highly-populated area, the Market is a tough one as there are tons of different locations to enter from, including a roof opening where players can get the drop on others firing from unsuspecting players. There is a ton of loot here but it’s definitely a riskier area than the Artillery and if dropping here, make sure your skills are up to the task. This location will usually be picked as a secondary alternative for most players if their first pick isn’t to their liking for whatever reason making it high on the list for combat locations. If this is the first landing place, a great secondary location to go right after is the Hydro Dam that also has a good number of loot bo
Toxicity is nothing new in gaming. But I fail to understand why we should continue to allow this behavior to continue if there’s something we can do to mitigate it and reward those who don’t engage. I’ve had friends uninstall Apex Legends due to frustration with random squadma
The Cage is more of a large tower and it is highly populated as well with everyone landing on the topmost part of the tower for the most part. If this is the destination of choice either landing on the top of the tower, expecting a fight, or landing on the outside of it, where there’s tons of loot in the small bunkers, avoiding contact, can be a preferred play here. It’s one of the rare locations that going into combat is a choice rather than a necessity but in the endgame, being on the top of the tower is where everyone would love to
Further, this could help balance the lobbies. The theory would be that someone who has gotten “good teammate” accolades has earned the right to not have to squad with potentially toxic teammates. It wouldn’t have to be the case every game, but the “good teammate” would overall have the benefit of playing far fewer games with potentially toxic rand
Just like with the Off The Record skin discussed in the last entry, the Bootlegger skin has a sister skin that’s pretty much a palette swap. This one also happens to be the variant that places an emphasis on red, black, and white as its color focus. This skin makes Loba look very dapper and fits into the aesthetic theme of the entire season. People will often use the phrase “dressed to kill” and Loba is communicating every bit of it with this outfit. It could also be mistaken as someone’s created character in Red Dead Onli
