The glider’s reveal confirmed the popular TOTK fan theory that Link would have some form of flying mount to navigate the various floating islands, similar to Skyward Sword ‘s Loftwings. Unlike a Loftwing, however, players may not be able to truly fly with the mechanical glider, as it has no obvious means of self-propulsion. It could be that they’ll only be able to glide with it as a floating platform, giving it a similar purpose to the regular glider but presumably without the cost of consuming stamina. From the looks of TOTK ‘s trailers, this ability should prove very useful. BOTW comes with many boulders that players can roll at enemies, and vice versa. Being able to send them back where they came from sounds very fun and should make for some creative combat strategies. This ability may also become a recurring feature in whatever replaces BOTW ‘s shrines as its unique function has a great deal of potential for puzzles based around it. Most of the time, their primary use is to help him solve puzzles and complete tasks that he couldn’t before. In fact, many of the series’ dungeons revolve around items that the player finds inside of or immediately before them. With Tears of the Kingdom possibly conforming dungeons , it seems likely that old tradition could make a return as well. With the addition of some classic items aside from the old standbys, it could make Tears of the Kingdom an exhilarating experie
Perhaps the most obnoxious aspect, however, is that Link needs BOTW ‘s special armor with fire immunity to pick up an Igneo Pebblit without being burned, and ice immunity to touch a Frost without freezing. Both of these only grant full immunity with a complete set that’s been upgraded repeatedly, meaning that a great amount of work and item farming is required to make Igneo and Frost Pebblits unproblematic. Using Fire or Ice Arrows on them can negate their elemental effects, but these are highly valuable and not worth using on such minor enemies. Overall, Pebblits are a nuisance that Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ does not need, and hopefully it won’t have them or any of _BOTW ‘s other annoying enem
The Hyoi Pear would be an eclectic addition to Link’s collection of tools in Tears of the Kingdom , and one that could be plenty of fun at that. Solving a difficult puzzle or defusing a villain’s trap by sending a bird to fly to the solution would be a delightfully amusing option to include. Hyoi Pears have not been used in over a decade, but Tears of the Kingdom could let players have birds help Link once more. Since BOTW ‘s Link outfit already resembled Wind Waker ‘s pajamas , bringing back one of Wind Waker ‘s most unusual items as well couldn’t h
Prince Sidon is the prince of Zora, the son of King Dorephan, and Mipha’s brother. He not only assisted Link in taking down a Divine Beast that was threatening Zora’s Domain in BOTW , but also was a good friend to the Hylian hero and shared an emotional bond, in part because of Mipha. Sidon heavily grieves his sister’s death and can be caught speaking to her statue, wishing she were there. The quests surrounding the Zora in BOTW focus heavily on her, and Link’s adventure log reveals his feelings for Mipha , though fans had to sift through the Japanese version to get the bigger picture of this. Contemplating the events that may happen in Tears of the Kingdom it is easy to assume that Prince (or perhaps even King by this time) Sidon will join Link for at least a portion of the trials which he will face in this next chap
Yunobo was a powerful Goron youth in BOTW and perhaps by the time TOTK makes its debut, he will have become an adult. Without knowing exactly how much time is between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom , it is hard to say precisely. However, this young Goron Champion, Yunobo, could be a powerful companion and friend to Link as he is already known to possess strong powers. As a descendant of the Goron Champion, Daruk, he has the ability of Daruk’s Protection, although he still found himself in situations in BOTW where Link had to come to his aid. Now that Yunobo has found his bravery, and perhaps some more wisdom with age, he could be much more useful to Link in the battles ah
Another item from Twilight Princess , the Spinner occupied a niche that very few other items in the Zelda series have taken on. The Spinner was an item that Link could ride. Such a role has otherwise been occupied almost solely by Epona, Link’s trusted horse companion. Although it has only gotten one real appearance thus far, the Spinner’s unique qualities could make it a useful tool in Link’s next advent
